8 months on, farmers await Mahadayi water

It’s been eight months since the Mahadayi river tribunal delivered its verdict allocating 13.5tmcft of water to Karnataka, but the people of Mumbai-Karnataka region, who relentlessly fought for a share of the river water for over three decades, are yet to benefit. The dispute continues to drag on as all three riparian states — Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka — have sought clarifications from the tribunal on its final judgment.
