HC allows murder convict, serving lifer, to become watchman inside jail

A murder convict serving life term usually knocks the judiciary’s doors either for release or for bail/parole/furlough. However, the Nagpur bench of Bombay High Court has allowed the appeal of one such convict who had moved the judiciary praying for appointment as nightwatchman inside the jail premises for the rest of his life. The court has also directed the Nagpur Central jail superintendent to consider the convict’s appeal.
